1. Acceptance of Terms
By inviting, configuring, or using Project Automod, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service Scope and Status
Project Automod is a Discord moderation and safety service.
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis.
No guarantee is made regarding uninterrupted operation, feature continuity, data continuity, or suitability for a specific purpose.
Features, data models, and behavior may change without prior notice.
3. Eligibility and Discord Dependency
To use Project Automod, you must:
- Have a valid Discord account.
- Meet Discord minimum age requirements in your jurisdiction.
- Comply with Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- Have authority to configure moderation settings in the relevant guild.
Project Automod depends on Discord APIs and platform policies. If Discord changes platform behavior, Project Automod may be modified, limited, or discontinued.
4. Permissions and Role Hierarchy
Project Automod cannot bypass Discord permissions.
The bot cannot take actions against users or roles that Discord permission rules prevent.
Guild administrators are responsible for correct bot role placement and required permissions.
Project Automod is not responsible for moderation failures caused by role hierarchy or missing permissions.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use Project Automod to:
- Violate law, Discord policy, or third-party rights.
- Harass, threaten, or target individuals or communities.
- Conduct raids, scams, malware activity, token theft, or coordinated abuse.
- Abuse, flood, or intentionally disrupt bot systems.
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities.
- Misrepresent yourself as staff, developer, or official representative.
Guild staff must use enforcement tools in good faith and with reasonable basis.
False reporting, fabricated evidence, or malicious use of incident systems is prohibited.
6. AI and Automated Assistance
Some features use AI-assisted analysis.
AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or contextually wrong.
AI responses are informational and do not replace moderator judgment.
Users are responsible for decisions and actions taken in reliance on AI output.
AI feature limits, availability, and usage caps may change without prior notice.
7. Moderation, Enforcement, and Blacklisting
Project Automod may monitor abuse patterns and safety events to protect participating guilds.
Users or guilds may be restricted or blacklisted for serious or repeated abuse, including scams, harassment, coordinated attacks, or exploit activity.
When blacklisted, access to commands and related features may be revoked.
Guild-level restrictions may include bot removal and prevention of re-invite.
Appeals may be offered through support channels. Review is discretionary and timeline is not guaranteed.
8. Global Ban and Incident Systems
Project Automod includes cross-guild incident and ban infrastructure intended to reduce severe abuse risk.
Incident submissions may require supporting evidence and category details.
Review outcomes, grace windows, appeals, and enforcement timing are determined by Project Automod policy and operational judgment.
False or abusive use of the reporting process can result in sanctions.
9. Premium Features and Cards
Premium access, where offered, may be tied to card-based or equivalent entitlement models.
Premium presentation tiers may differ in visual design and duration.
Feature sets, eligibility, limits, and availability may change.
Project Automod may suspend or revoke premium access for abuse, policy violations, or operational reasons.
Unless explicitly required by law, refunds are not guaranteed.
10. Data and Privacy
Use of Project Automod involves processing of moderation, configuration, and operational data.
By using the service, you confirm you have authority to submit and process relevant guild and user data through the service.
Privacy and data handling details are described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for compliance with laws applicable to your jurisdiction and use case.
No statement in this document constitutes legal advice.
11. Service Changes and Termination
Project Automod may, at any time:
- Add, modify, limit, or remove features.
- Adjust thresholds, limits, schemas, or policies.
- Restrict access to specific users or guilds.
- Discontinue part or all of the service.
Changes may occur without prior notice when required for safety, security, platform compliance, or operations.
12. Warranty Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Project Automod disclaims all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
No guarantee is made regarding result quality, detection accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Project Automod and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
This includes, without limitation, losses related to moderation outcomes, service interruptions, data issues, third-party platform behavior, and security incidents.
If liability is legally imposed, aggregate liability is limited to amounts paid for premium services in the 30 days before the claim, if any.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Project Automod and its operators from claims, losses, and costs arising from:
- Your use of the service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of Discord policy or applicable law.
- Your moderation actions or submitted content.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the operator's primary jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by law.
Users are encouraged to seek informal resolution through support channels before formal legal action.
No mandatory arbitration clause is imposed by this document.
16. Changes to These Terms
Project Automod may update these Terms at any time.
Updated versions are published at this location with revised effective date and version number.
Continued use after publication of updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
